Newcastle fans are still reeling after two of their former players will be facing each other in this season’s Champions League final.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored twice for Liverpool as they completed a remarkable comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday.
Moussa Sissoko then helped Tottenham to come from behind and beat Ajax, setting up an all-English final next month.
Wijnaldum played just one season with Newcastle and was part of their relegation season in 2015/16 before signing for the Reds in a deal worth £25million.
Sissoko spent three-and-a-half seasons with the club after signing in January 2013, for just £1.5million, and again left when they went down to the Championship.
Spurs picked him up for £30million and has become a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, despite a poor start to his time with the club.

Newcastle fans cannot believe they managed to get relegated with both of those players in their side and laid the blame squarely at Steve McClaren’s door.
Either Wijnaldum or Sissoko will become a Champions League winner when the two clubs face each other in Madrid on June 1.
Here is how some Newcastle fans reacted following the semi-final results.
