Jeremie Aliadiere believes Arsenal will finish above Tottenham Hotspur this season to secure Champions League football.
In what is Unai Emery’s first season in charge at the Emirates, the Gunners have endured a topsy-turvy campaign under the Spaniard.
A 22-game unbeaten run in all competitions suggested a huge overhaul, but that was brought to a swift end at Southampton.

Aliadiere has backed Spurs to finish below Arsenal this season
And then, defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup ended any chance of a domestic trophy having been eliminated by rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Aliadiere (who played 50 times for the club) believes Emery can exact his revenge by finishing higher than Spurs in the Premier League.
“I believe so, yeah, I think they will,†Aliadiere told Jim White on talkSPORT.
“I think they will finish in the Top Four – I don’t know if they will be third or fourth – but I think, in my opinion, it is the safest bet of them playing Champions League.

“I just think the Europa League is tough. I know they are in the quarter-finals, but I still think beating Napoli over two legs will be tough.
“You’ve still got Chelsea in it and I think putting all your eggs in that basket [winning the Europa League] will be difficult.â€
Arsenal have to face Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton away before the end of the season, but these are the only top ten sides they will face before the season ends on May 12.
Despite appearing to have the easiest run-in of the European contenders, Aliadiere warned his former side against complacency.

“I do think as well, they’ve got the easiest run compared to the other top teams,†he added.
“But, as you know, playing away at teams like Burnley won’t be easy games.
“And sometimes you think, you’ve got an easier game but it’s never easy at the end of the season.â€
