The odds on David Moyes becoming the new Scotland manager have been slashed to 11/10.
The former Man United and Everton boss was priced at 3/1 on Oddschecker, but they were shortened after a flurry of bets were placed on him to succeed Alex McCleish on Friday morning.
Scotland Under-21s coach Scot Gemmill is the second favourite on 11/8, while Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke is the third-best bet at 3/1.
John Hill, a spokesman for Coral, explained that Moyes has quickly become the favourite after an influx of money came in for him to land the hot-seat.
He said: “We have been knocked over with interest in David Moyes in the last 24 hours and, as a result, the former Everton and Manchester United manager is now the new favourite to get the job.â€
