An opening ceremony will take place on April 3 ahead of the first fixture at Tottenham’s new stadium against Crystal Palace, it has been confirmed.
Spurs were worried it would be difficult to hold such a ceremony before a midweek game with people rushing in after work, however, the powers that be have decided that the show must go on at their new 62,062-seater stadium.
The north London club said in a statement:Â “We can now confirm that the kick-off time for the opening Premier League fixture at our new stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday 3 April will be 7.45pm.
“Prior to our first match at our new home we shall hold the Opening Ceremony.
