Aston Villa and Derby County will contest the richest game in football this week as they meet at Wembley for the Championship play-off final.


Norwich and Sheffield United have already secured promotion to the Premier League and we are set to find out who will join them.

Villa beat West Brom on penalties in the semi-finals while Derby stunned Leeds to reach Wembley.


They will face off under the famous arch in the drama of the Championship play-off final.











Aston Villa vs Derby: Date and kick-off time


The match will take place on Monday, May 27 and will kick-off at 3pm.


Villa won both games convincingly during the regular season, claiming a 4-0 home victory after winning 3-0 at Pride Park.

Villa have named on-loan Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe in their starting XI after he overcame an ankle problem.


Winger Albert Adomah also comes into Dean Smith’s team, preferred to Andre Green, who drops to the bench.


Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Ashley Cole, 38, starts for Derby in place of the suspended Scott Malone.


Tom Huddlestone is also drafted into Frank Lampard’s side in place of Duane Holmes, who suffered a knock in the semi-final victory over Leeds.

Six Italian officials are going to the World Cup - referee Gianluca Rocchi, assistant referees Elenito Di Liberatore and Mauro Tonolini, and Video Assistant Referees Massimiliano Irrati, Daniele Orsato and Paolo Valeri - but Guida is not one of them. The game at Wembley will be five days before Guida's 37th birthday, on 7 June.
