Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will earn more than Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
Manchester United confirmed the Norwegian as their permanent manager on a three-year deal on Thursday.
Solskjaer had impressed in caretaker charge since replacing Jose Mourinho in December, winning 14 of his 19 matches, including a shock 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
The Mirror report he will earn £7.5million-a-year, which is half the amount of which his predecessor Mourinho took home.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is the highest-paid Premier League boss on £15million-a-year, followed by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino on £8.5million.
Below Solskjaer are Klopp on £7million, Arsenal chief Unai Emery with £6million and Maurizio Sarri on £5.15million.
Solskjaer has turned around United’s fortunes in a short space of time and has been able to get the best out of star midfielder Paul Pogba, who fell out with Mourinho.
United last lifted a trophy in May 2017 when they won the Europa League and Solskjaer, 46, is targeting silverware next season.

“I worked with them – or we have as a staff – for three months and the improvement is there to be seen.
